Reflection Diary Week 2

Image
This was one of the slides in the week 2 which inspired me to do more in-depth research for facts in my subject.

Persona

Through our research, we ended up finding out that there are three basic types of 9-5 workers that we wanted to concentrate on; Moveable lunch breaks - business, law enforcement, service industry and technology Immovable lunch breaks - medical and teaching Moveable work area - arts and media Moveable lunch breaks/workplaces - need to create an oasis outside the workplace - near to workplaces - walking distance - near food shops. Immovable lunch breaks - need to create a quiet, private, secluded garden - no access to students or patients - needs to have plants, be natural and have a kitchen nearby. The before, during and after of a successful lunch break are; Trying to find a place to relax and have a lunch break, not finding one and staying stressed Finding a new place and sharing that find Going there for every lunch and making it a common place to meet friends

Interviews

Peter Jack; 'Flow' is being engrossed in what you are doing, doing one thing in depth. He creates music on a computer which starts the 'flow' and then carries on to create a video aspect for the music. He enjoys the rhythm, beat, tone, pitch and melody of creating music. Currently he has been reconstructing songs created by others. Walking helps to create this 'flow', his favourite places are by the beach and the dashing rocks. Watching the waves and listening to them crash is calming. He also does photography , mostly of the sea and the dashing rocks.  Allows him to concentrate for long periods of time on getting the right photo at the right time. Shannan Ryan; She watches youtube series which allows her to take her mind off her work and does not require much thinking. She tries not to bring the work home with her. Walking home from work helps her to wind down. Interacting and patting her cat helps her to stay calm. She used to be rel...
